Meera Textiles prioritizes environmental sustainability by self-generating 5 million KWh of power annually from clean wind energy sources. We have invested in 2.5MW of Suzlon wind turbines in 1999 and have offset carbon emissions by replacing power from fossil fuels.
Meera has far exceeded the Renewal Purchase Obligation (RPO) of 6% or power demand as set by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 2011.

The factory premise has 20 acres 400 tree plantation to reduce the noise and air pollution and reduce the temperature in the factory.
